Vijayanagar College was established in year 1964. The then vice-president Dr.Zakir Hussain inaugurated the college on 01.06.1964. Delivering the inaugural address he hoped that the college would work for the improvement of a lot of students of this backward area.
In view to support students coming from long distance, college management has constructed hostels for both boys and girls with all the necessary facilities within 200 meters distance.
